The eCentre is a research group based in the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences at the University of Greenwich. The centre includes some 17 academics and research staff undertaking research and consultancy in a variety of areas such as such e-Learning, e-Training, Mobile Multimedia, Animation, Games, Interaction Design and Social and Community Computing. The centre is jointly led by:

Events

eCentre hosted 3rd Annual e4Business Conference 2008 –

eCentre hosted the e4Business 2008 conference for the third year running, sponsored by London Development Agency, British Computer Society, Knowledge East and South East London Chamber of Commerce.

This year we had speakers from Microsoft, IBM, Google, DTI and others. It was an exciting and interesting event.

eCentre to host 2nd Annual "e" Teaching & Learning Workshop 2008 –

The eCentre is proud to announce the 2nd eCentre Workshop day, being held at The University of Greenwich on the 3rd June 2008.

eCentre to host "e" Teaching & Learning Workshop 2007 –

The eCentre is proud to announce that it will be hosting the e Teaching & Learning Workshop in conjunction with the HEA-ICS on the 6th June 2007 as part of the 1st eCentre Conference, being held 6th-8th June 2007 at The University of Greenwich.

eCentre and partners wins two JISC awards –

First, eCentre, along with Greenwich School of Education and Oxford University’s Learning Technology centre wins JISC award for developing innovative e-Learning solutions. The project, headed by Dr. Jill Jameson, started in February 2005 and is due to end in May 2006.

Second, eCentre is associated with another JISC bid with Kent NTI and University of Kent for the development of Web services for learners.


eCentre Joins EU Partners for a project on: “Electronics For Engineers Computer Aided Learning System”.

The project brings together researchers from: Instituto de Electrónica Aplicada, e-Centre, University of Greenwich, UK, Katholieke Hogeschool Zuid-West-Vlaanderen Association K.U.Leuven, Belgium, Université de Liège, Belgium, Thecnological Educational Institute of Kavala, Greece, University of Applied Science of Oldenburg/ Ostfriesland/Wilhelmshaven, Germany, Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Portugal and the Thomson Learning –Paraninfo (SME) University of Vigo, Spain


eCentre Part of the IEEE Information Visualisation Conference for 2005.
